Frozen: The Hit Broadway Musical (2025 Proshot) · 01
Opening / Let the Sun Shine On
Young Anna
Do you want to build a snowman?
Come on! Let's go and play
Young Elsa
I could cover this whole place in snow!
I'm not supposed to, though
Young Anna
Yeah.
Just do it anyway
Do it for your sister! Elsa, please!
Oh, please!
I can't do the things you do
That's what I'm talking about!
Young Elsa
You really want to build a snowman?
Young Anna
You know I do!
Young Elsa
We'll stay up late and build that snowman!
Young Anna
Yes!
Me and you!
Ensemble
Once there was a family beloved by all
A king, a queen, two princesses
And the story starts when they were small
King Agnarr
Ladies, what have you been up to?
Ensemble
Elsa was a special child
From her first frozen tear
Her magic filled her parents' hearts
With so much love and fear...
Queen Iduna
Elsa, no!
What did we say?
Young Elsa
Magic must stay secret.
King Agnarr
There are just some things we can't do in public.
Young Anna
Like, run naked in the breeze!
Queen Iduna
Anna!
Company
Let the sun shine on
Let our hearts be light
Like this perfect, happy shiny summer day!
Let the sun shine on
'Cause it's all all right
Together we can keep the storm at bay
Young Anna & Young Elsa
One, two, three together
Clap together, snap together, you and me together
Knees together, freeze together, up or down, together
Princess crown together, always be together, you and me!
Ensemble
Once there was a family with secrets to keep
As rulers in a land
Where respect for the crown runs deep
Young Anna
Freeze my butt!
Ensemble
And so the royal family is ever on display
And people love the princesses and watch them
As they play
Company
Let the sun shine on! Let our lives be free
Let the promise of our land be sure and strong
Let our hearts be warmed by this family
All of winter long!
Let the sun shine on over Arendelle!
Let the crown be strong and let your love be true
Bless our daughters fair
Whom we love so well!
We will look to you...
Queen Iduna
Come on, my loves. Time for bed.
King Agnarr
That means actually sleeping, Anna. Okay?
Young Anna
I love sleeping.
Queen Iduna
Does anyone need a bedtime story?
Young Anna & Young Elsa
No, please!
We're way too tired.
Young Anna
Bye. I mean, good night.
Love you. Thank you. You're free to go.
They're gone.
It's just us.
Young Elsa
We're supposed to be sleeping.
Young Anna
We're supposed to be building a snowman. Please!
The sky's awake, so I'm awake.
So we have to play!
Young Elsa
Okay, okay.
Young Anna
Yes!
Snowman! Snowman! Snowman! Snowman!
Snow...
Young Elsa
Are you gonna help or just run around?
Young Anna
Oh, right.
Done running, now helping.
Young Elsa
You know, there's a recipe to making a proper snowman.
Young Anna
Really?
Young Elsa
Uh-huh.
